Yoga Nidra: The Holiday Season Stress Buster!

During the often frenetic pace of the holiday season, our stress and tension levels often begin to ramp up. Whether it is due to family or financial pressures, or the increased busyness of our environments, we all tend to get a little stressed out at this time of the year. It is so important that we each take time for ourselves to recharge, enliven our inner resources for stress management, and rest. After all, only when one’s cup is full can one be fully there for another.

The profoundly restorative practice of Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a fully guided meditative practice that release all types of muscular, emotional, and mental tension. On this journey, you will be guided through a series of awareness exercises, loosening and smoothing stress by delving deep into your nervous system, and exploring the tremendous powers that lie in the deeper layers of your subconscious mind.

Yoga Nidra is practiced while laying on your back or other comfortable position, nestled into props and blankets. It is different from sleep because you are still aware and consciously relaxing your mind and body. Come with anything you would like to make yourself as comfortable as possible, including blankets, pillows, eye masks, even a teddy bear! Lightly weighted eye pillows will be on offer so you can completely commit your eyes to rest.

This practice is for anyone who is interested in relaxation, meditation, or releasing that feeling of being “knotted up” inside. Whether you are experienced in meditation, or brand new, this practice will leave you feelings deeply rested and recharged.

Sunday, December 17th, 1:00pm to 2:30pm at Naturally Healthy Clinic, 210 Milton Street.

Cost is $30. Register today by emailing, or call Naturally Healthy Clinic at 250 755 4051.

Darkfield Microscopy “Sneakpeek”

Darkfield Microscopy “sneakpeek” – 10 min introduction blood view

This morning a patient came in for his therapy. He visited our clinic during our Grand Opening and watched the sneak perk Darkfield Microscopy that we offered.

He told me that he was deeply impressed to watch other people’s blood moving and then his own. And each blood looked so different. And just with the quick peak he found that he lacked a nutrient and got it fixed by our ND. And by today he feels already so much better.

So now he suggested to make the Sneak Peek a regular accessible service – so, here we go.. come in and sneak peek at your live blood. 😊

We do it all – all of us as one team for you!

See if your blood might look like one of these views:

Health Tip

Winter blues and Christmas stress are a rising problem for many of us.

Stabilize your immune system with healthy food – follow Georgina’s posts here about yummy meals and recipes.

Detox and cleanse while getting sucked into all the pre-Christmas occasions with less good food and repair your body before it gets out of hand and in January feeling awful – hydro colontherapy, acupuncture, Myers Cocktail Vitamins, sauna, Pascoe Whole Body Cleanse, and many more easy and fast to do things ( ask us for advice about what is best for you personally ).

Get outside and be active – there is no bad weather, only the wrong clothes 😉 jump into the puddles and play like a child, build little dams and micro creeks along the trail puddles 😃, go to the gym, meet with friends and dance ( water with lemon juice is best to rehydrate ), stretch and recenter body and mind with Yoga,.. such great feeling to be in your own body after some physical activity.

Neurapas supports your inner balance with Passionflower, Valerian root and St. John’s Wort.

Pamper yourself with a massage, come into our Spa, relax your mind with Hypnotherapy, … it’s so simple to feel good and be healthy even in the most stressful time of a year.

Our great team supports your health and wellness all around –

Specialty Yoga with Meg

Yesterday was the first of four specialty yoga classes with Meg at our clinic. It was fabulous.

Limited seats ensured to resolve problem areas of each individual participant. One person dropped in in jeans and had a blast when she found out how much this lesson benefited her physically and mentally.

Please call to reserve your yoga mat for one or all of the next classes on Saturdays 12pm – 1:15pm. Each class has a different focus area to work on to stabilize function, strength and mobility.

I will definitely be there for all the next classes. Loved it! 😃

So blessed…

I feel very blessed to have such great team! Everyone from the receptionists, the admin staff, therapists and doctors is so in tune and goes above and beyond to excel. Truly amazing. We work as a team like the clockwork of a Swiss Rolex and the musketeers – all for one and one for all, hand in hand.

During the period of time between buying the clinic, throughout all the renovations and then building up the team I have been surrounded by not just workers but friends, warm hearts and spirits. None of this could have been realized without us all together.

Thank you!!! 🌺💕
