Testimonials :

“I have always been very skeptical of an Alternative Medicine but a year ago, I experienced such a
transformation even a lot of friends and family found hard to believe.

Ten years ago I had a heart attack and a stroke. Since then, my ankles swell severely, especially in the heat. That means that for 4 or so months of the year, I have swollen ankles which are very, very painful and make it impossible to walk for any amount of time. Standing on my feet for even a short period of time was also getting impossible.

By this point in time, I was willing to try almost anything that might help. It felt like nothing I have ever experienced, and then in the right ankle, the worst one, you could actually feel the blood starting to flow thru again.

Since June 2010, I have not had a swollen ankle, have lost 12 pounds and walk almost daily for exercise.
I will have this procedure repeated again just for preventative medicine, and am bringing my husband for a session.

” I have had back and shoulder pain for years and decided that I should try a treatment to see if it would help. The treatments are relaxing and non-intrusive. I am no longer having muscle spasms in my back. I also have high blood pressure so sometimes I take my blood pressure before the treatments and when I get home it is always lower. With Georgina’s expertise the tuning forks are not only relaxing, but I believe they are healing my body. ”
Barbara Wiley

“I have had much physiotherapy and have endured many needles from acupuncture to relieve the pain and tenseness in my back and nothing has relaxed me as well as the tuning fork treatment that Georgina did for me. Twice I have enjoyed the treatment, and twice I came away with such a feeling of relaxation and well being that I recommend this if you have been suffering and just don’t know what could help, I believe this will help. It did for me.

The treatment is an interesting experience in itself, as I didn’t know what to expect. First Georgina had me lay face down on a massage table, which I have spent a few hours on them before, but this time would be different. She covered me with a blanket, which made me feel nice and warm, and then on comes the music, which was a big part of how the treatment poured over me. Now she tapped the forks on a little rubber mallet and the sound and vibration did its magic, first close to my head then down my body she went tapping the forks and bringing them close to my body, all slowly and calming. Then just when I got used to that she started to touch the bottom end of the fork to my body, and this was a real surprising feeling, it was kind of like acupuncture, but no needles. It felt good, and the pain I had was replaced with a feeling of total relaxation. So relaxed that I went to sleep for part of the treatment, (never did this during acupuncture).

Homeopathy looks beyond the labels of disease to cure their causes rather than merely their symptoms and it stimulates the body’s own natural healing powers to bring health, vitality and well-being. It does not treat superficially by just driving away the symptoms but heals the patient from within.

Homeopathy is highly individualised and based upon a holistic assessment. As well as the patient’s actual complaint and conventional diagnosis, the following factors may play an important part in medicine selection, especially in chronic disease:  the patient’s constitution, emotional and mental make-up, the way the patient responds to physical, emotional and mental influences/stress in his/her life, the patient’s personality, temperament, genetic predispositions and any strong family history of particular diseases.

Homeopathy is an effective alternative to antibiotics in infectious diseases, producing no toxic side effects, often bringing about rapid recovery. Viral infections are also very well treated with homeopathy. In addition, homeopathy is effective for a variety of complaints occurring in children, including behavioural problems.

Other medical conditions successfully treated are: skin diseases such as acne, boils, eczema, psoriasis, warts; musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, osteoarthritis, sciatica, bursitis and fibromyalgia; allergies, frequent infections; tension headache and migraine; heartburn, gastritis, constipation, intestinal conditions, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease; frequent colds, sinusitis, tonsillitis, cough, asthma and respiratory infections; emotional conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia; menstrual disorders, premenstrual syndrome and many other conditions besides those listed where homeopathy is found to be effective.

Homeopathy is safe. Unlike other medication, homeopathic medicines are non-toxic and harmless and do not have any adverse side effects.

Patients unable to use conventional prescription drugs due to side effects can often safely use homeopathic medicines. Homeopathic medicines are natural, prepared from minute amounts of herbs, minerals and other natural products. Their quality and safety are assured by the national medicine agencies based on European Union legislation and European Pharmacopoeia requirements.

The European Committee for Homeopathy (ECH) represents all medical doctors with an additional qualification in homeopathy, organised in 40 associations in 25 European countries.

Homeopathy is very popular in Germany where much of the research is done. It is actually even more popular in India where over 100 million people depend solely on this form of medical care (2). Further, according to an A.C. Neilsen survey in India, 62 percent of current homeopathy users have never tried conventional medicines and 82 percent of homeopathy users would not switch to conventional treatments (3).

Curcumin -Turmeric

Curcumin, a yellow-pigment substance and component of turmeric (Curcuma longa),  exhibits anti-inflammatory activity. Extensive research performed within the past two decades has shown that the  activity of turmeric is due to curcumin, a diferuloylmethane. This agent has been shown to regulate numerous transcription factors, cytokines, protein kinases, adhesion molecules, redox status and enzymes that have been linked to inflammation.

The process of inflammation has been shown to play a major role in most chronic illnesses, including neurodegenerative, cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, autoimmune and neoplastic diseases.

The current review on the link below provides evidence for the potential role of curcumin in the prevention and treatment of various pro-inflammatory chronic diseases.

These features, combined with the pharmacological safety and negligible cost, render curcumin an attractive agent to incorporate into your health program.

Raw Sauerkraut

Raw sauerkraut contains lactobacilli bacteria, one of the better-studied types of probiotics.

Sauerkraut and its juices are made from naturally fermented cabbage. In this ancient method of food preservation, dry salt is added to shredded cabbage, which causes the cabbage to release juice containing lactic acid, preserving the cabbage.

Sauerkraut juice, due to the fermentation process, is rich in natural lactic acid, which inhibits the growth of undesired intestinal bacteria and encourages the growth of good bacteria. This makes sauerkraut juice an excellent choice for treating sluggish bowels and poor digestion. Drinking this tart juice not only benefits your body’s digestive process, but it also acts as a laxative, helping to prevent constipation.

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that may help improve digestive function, lower your risk for antibiotic-associated diarrhea and possibly help with lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease, according to the University of Florida Extension.

A 1/2-cup serving of sauerkraut has about 20 calories, 1 gram of protein and 5 grams of carbohydrates, including 3 grams of fiber, or 13 percent of the daily value. It also provides about 10 percent of the DV for iron and 25 percent of the DV for vitamin C, as well as significant amounts of vitamin K. Fiber helps lower your cholesterol and blood sugar levels and decreases your risk for constipation and other digestive issues. You need iron for forming red blood cells, vitamin C for wound healing and vitamin K for blood clotting.

TRE Series

Anxious. Stressed out. Overwhelmed. These words are all too common ways to describe how we feel on a daily basis. Life is stressful, but that reality doesn’t have to control you.

TRE® (tension and trauma releasing exercises) is an innovative approach to managing and mitigating the effects of stress in your body and in your life. Whether we realize it or not, stress is something that impacts every one of us on a daily basis. Our bodies weren’t designed to live with the chronic and sometimes toxic stress that so many of us carry.

TRE® was created by Dr. David Bercelli, and uses a set of 7 gentle and adaptable exercises that can be modified to support every body type and ability, to elicit an intentional and self controlled muscular tremor, deep in the core of the body. Similar to the way animals shake off stress, this tremor reflex seeks out and gently vibrates open deeply held patterns of tension in the muscle tissue and fascia of the body, while naturally quieting and re-regulating the nervous system.

The tremor originates in the brain-stem, the part of the brain that regulates autonomic body functions, and does not involve the emotional or thinking brain, so even historic patterns of trauma and stress can be safely and gently released without re-triggering painful memories. Essentially TRE® allows the body to do this processing for us.

TRE® is accessible and easy to learn. Most people find it easy to integrate TRE® into their lives, and more importantly, derive benefit from it almost immediately. It may take only three sessions to feel confident in the ability to regulate the practice and stay feeling comfortable. After that people are free to practice on their own.TRE® is meant to be a self care tool that you can access for the rest of your life to promote health and wellness on all levels.

TRE® is for everyone, and is a practice of empowerment. Our bodies are wise beyond belief, and every person has this internal resource waiting to be expressed to find deeper healing and calmness. Quieter mind, clearer outlook on life, greater sense of emotional resilience.

Whether you are suffering from symptoms of post traumatic stress, or just trying to keep your head above water in a fast paced and chaotic world, TRE® has something to offer you, and you are invited to come and check it out.

TRE® is a safe and effective stress release technique for most people . The TRE process should not be used as a substitute for trauma recovery procedures of a medical or psychological nature.

List of Hemp Vitamins and Minerals

About the Vitamins and Minerals found in HEMP…

The Vitamins:

Essential to numerous bodily functions including the production of healthy blood cells and cells that line the digestive tract. It is especially important during periods of rapid cell division and growth since folate is necessary for the creation and maintenance of new cells, and for DNA and RNA synthesis. Folate is also essential for the prevention of neural tube defects of a fetus during the first few weeks of pregnancy.

Plays a critical role in the energy metabolism of all cells. Thiamine aids in the conversion of carbohydrates and amino acids into energy and is essential for proper functioning of the heart, muscles and nervous system.

Part coenzymes active in energy metabolism of all cells. It is also essential for body growth, reproduction, red cell production and supports normal vision and skin health.

Participates in the energy metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It aids in the functioning of the digestive system, nervous system, and conversion of food into energy for normal growth and development.

Aids in the production of antibodies in the immune system, helps maintain normal nerve function and is required for the metabolism of amino acids and fatty acids. Vitamin B6 helps synthesize hemoglobin (red blood cells) and neurotransmitters (communication molecule of the brain). Vitamin B6 helps regulate blood glucose and is critical to the development of the brain and nervous system of a fetus.

An antioxidant and serves as the body’s main defense against oxidative damage. It forms part of the cell membrane of red and white blood cells and it protects polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vitamin E is also crucial for normal nerve development.

Along with phosphorous is important in bone and teeth formation. It helps to maintain a normal blood pressure and plays an essential role in blood clotting. Calcium is necessary for muscle contraction and for a normal heartbeat.

Aids the body’s growth and maintenance. Potassium helps maintain normal water balance between the cells and body fluids, electrolyte balance, cell integrity and is critical to maintaining a heartbeat, proper heart function, the transmission of nerve impulses and contraction of muscles.

Together with calcium is vital in the formation of bone and teeth. It forms part of the molecule of the phospholipids that are principal components of cell membranes. Phosphorus is part of the DNA and RNA of every cell. It is essential for growth and renewal of tissues and helps maintain the acid-base balance of cellular fluids.

Assists in absorption of calcium and potassium in the body. Magnesium is also involved in bone mineralization, activating B vitamins, acting as a nerve and muscle relaxant and providing blood clotting. Magnesium is also involved in protein synthesis and is responsible for the release and use of energy from nutrients.

Required by our bodies for absorption, storage and metabolism of iron, the formation of hemoglobin (red blood cells) and collagen (connective tissue). Copper helps supply oxygen to the body and is required for brain development and nerve cell communication.

A major component of hemoglobin and myoglobin, both of which are responsible for carrying oxygen in the blood and to our muscles. Iron is required in our bodies to make new cells, amino acids, hormones and neurotransmitters. Iron is also important for enzymatic activity in energy-yielding pathways and is involved in producing ATP (adenosine triphosphate) the body’s energy source.

Assists enzyme activity in all our cells. Zinc also aids protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism and supports the immune system, growth, development and reproduction, wound healing, healthy skin, nails and eyes.

Works with different enzymes to facilitate body processes. It is involved in the formation of connective tissue, bones, blood clotting and reproductive hormones. Manganese is also required for normal brain and nerve function.

Plays a crucial role in brain function and normal growth and development. It also helps to stimulate skin and hair growth, maintain bone health, regulate metabolism and maintain the reproductive system.

Beneficial for heart health and supports immunity. Omega-3s reduces inflammation in many body tissues, including the arteries of the heart. It has a crucial role in brain function and growth and development.

Helps to promote normal blood cholesterol and regulates blood glucose and maintains a healthy bowel function. Fibre also helps in the maintenance of a healthy body weight by increase the feeling of fullness.

A measure of the effects of available carbohydrates on blood glucose. Hemp products do not have significant levels of available carbohydrate therefore the GI cannot be measured. Since most hemp products are high in dietary fibre, this does not affect the blood glucose level. The concentration of blood glucose remains constant as hemp products are consumed.

The difference between Attars and Essential oils

When I do a massage, I love using Attars for the emotional body aspect of healing, as well as essential oils for the physical body.  Sandalwood especially is a relaxing oil that can be used to ease depression, tension, and exhaustion of the nervous system.

What is the difference between an attar oil and an essential oil?

Ittar (Hindi/Urdu), also known as attar, is an essential oil derived from botanical sources. Most commonly these oils are extracted via hydro or steam distillation. They can also be expressed by chemical means but generally natural perfumes which qualify as ittars are distilled with water. The oils are generally distilled into a wood base such as sandalwood and then aged. The aging period can last from one to ten years depending on the botanicals used and the results desired. Technically ittars are distillates of flowers, herbs, spices and other natural materials such as baked soil over sandalwood oil/liquid paraffins using hydro distillation technique with deg and bhapka. These techniques are still in use today at Kannauj in India. This is one of the oldest natural fragrant materials, nearly 5000 years old.

Ittars have special medical value and they are generally classified based on their effect on human body such as warm ittars’ such as musk, amber and kesar (saffron) are used in winters, they increase the body temperature. Cool ittars such as rose, jasmine, khus, kewda and mogra are used in summers and have cooling effect on the body.[9]

There were many varieties of Attar which could be used at different times of the year. Some of the popular fragrances used in the winters were warm notes of the Hina that were prepared from Saffron and Musk. A few examples of the warm Attar included Amber, Musk, Oud, and Saffron. They were used to increase the body temperature during cold seasons. Cool Attars were used in summer to bring some cooling effect on the body.

My favorite is  Sandalwood Sandalwood is known to have a calming effect when meditating and is in much demand as incense. In the ancient Egypt, most of the temples were built from Sandalwood.

It is a relaxing oil that can be used to ease depression, tension, and exhaustion of the nervous system. It improves the general health of a person if the resins and barks are inhaled. Other medicinal uses include; It helps to stop vomiting It cures a dry cough when applied on the chest It excites the senses. It prevents travel sickness. It has curative properties when used as skin ailments.
